Japanese Bridge

Also known locally as the “Kalapový most“ („Hut Bridge”), it was built during the second half of the 1880s, when East Asian elements were beginning to influence our culture. The wooden structure has a hat-shaped tin roof with raised edges, typical of Japanese gazebos.

The original bridge was destroyed by a flood in 1971, and a faithful replica was built in 1979. (According to some sources, there was a Japanese garden on the left bank of the stream).
