Horse chestnut

The horse chestnut tree is very common in the park of Betliar. They were planted not only for aesthetic reasons, but also because their crops served as food for big game.

The chestnut alley is about 1600 m long and has more than 600 trees (approx. 650). The trees were planted before the end of the 19th century. (1895)
