Tento prameň je v Čadci najznámejší. Za chránený prírodný výtvor (dnes prírodná pamiatka) bol vyhlásený už v roku 1973. Dlhá je aj história jeho využívania a úprav. Pôvodne vytekal v lese nad Bukovským potokom, po výstavbe cesty dolinou bol jeho odtok prevedený rúrou popod túto cestu a výtok bol upravený tak, že voda vyteká z kamennej steny rovno do potoka. Prameň bol v roku 2007 dôstojne upravený, takže svojím dnešným vzhľadom reprezentuje mesto. Navštevuje ho veľa záujemcov o minerálnu vodu, ktorá má priaznivé účinky na trávenie. Osobitný záujem o ňu majú majitelia záhradiek v blízkej záhradkárskej osade. Najkratší prístup zo stredu mesta sa začína cestou, ktorá vedie z Námestia slobody cez most ku Sventkovmu domu resp. k nákupnému centru TESCO, odtiaľ cestou k prejazdu bývalej železničnej vlečky na začiatok miestnej časti Bukov. Odtiaľ je to k prameňu asi štvrťhodina chôdze.

The Bukov mineral spring is the most famous spring in Čadca. It was recognised as a protected natural creation (currently a natural monument) as early as in 1973, the history of its usage and treatment is thus very long. Originally, the spring began and flew through the forest above the Bukov stream, however after the road construction in the valley, its flow was regulated by a piping under the road nowadays flowing from the stone wall directly into the stream. In 2007, the spring was given the appropriate form; therefore, its current scene represents the town with dignity. The spring is visited by many people using the healing water to cure digestion problems. The owners of gardens in the nearby gardening area are particularly interested in this water. The spring can be easily accessed from the city centre by the road starting from the Square over the bridge to the Sventek house, i. e. past the TESCO shopping centre, accross railway crossing and to the beginning of the local area called Bukov. The spring is distant approximately a fifteen minute walk from here.
