Nachádzajú sa v mestskej časti Milošová, v blízkosti hranice s obcou Mosty u Jablunkova v opustenom kameňolome, kde v osemdesiatych rokoch minulého storočia ťažili kameň na úpravu horských bystrín. Po odstrele horniny sa spomedzi pieskovcových kvádrov vykotúľali pravidelné okrúhle gule s priemerom od desiatok centimetrov až po najväčšiu, ktorá mala priemer 260 cm. Tak sa objavil prírodný úkaz, svojho druhu jedinečný v Európe, pretože podobný nebol doteraz zaznamenaný v žiadnej inej krajine. V roku 2003 bolo nálezisko vyhlásené za prírodnú pamiatku.Možno sa k nemu dostať mestskou dopravou z Čadce smer Milošová. Návštevníci sú zvedaví na pôvod týchto gulí. Uspokojivú odpoveď však doteraz nedal nikto. Geológovia sa zatiaľ zhodujú iba v názore, že vznikli v rovnakej dobe ako okolité pieskovcové horniny, pretože vrstva pieskovcov a zlepencov neprerušovane prechádza z okolitej horniny aj vrchnou časťou gúľ. Najpravdepodob­nejšia odpoveď je tá, že vznikli v pravekom mori postupným nabaľovaním na jadro pohybmi vody na morskom dne. Všetky vysvetlenia sú zatiaľ iba hypotézy. Od konečnej zastávky Megonky na trati MHD smer Milošová sa návštevníci dostanú ku kameňolomu, kde nájdu len jednu veľkú guľu, navyše rozlomenú napoly. Ďalšie gule sú na vonkajšom ľavom okraji lomu, ku ktorým si však treba vyšliapať po lesných chodníčkoch. Námaha však stojí za to.

The stone balls can be found in the suburb Milošová located in the proximity of the border with the municipality of Mosty u Jablunkova, specifically in a an old stone quarry where stones were excavated in the 80s of the last century in order to obtain materials for river regulation process. After removing the rock, the sandstone slabs disclosed the regularly shaped balls varying in diameter from tens of centimetres to the largest one with the diameter of 260 centimetres. Thus, a unique natural phenomenon was discovered and is still rare in the entire area of the European continent as such a discovery has never been recorded in any other country. The rarity can be reached by means of public transport from Čadca via Milošová. Visitors to the area are curious about the origin of these balls however, a satisfactory answer has not been provided so far. Geologists have only agreed on one opinion: the balls and the surrounding sandstone formations were formed within the same period since the layer of sandstones and pudding stones fluently passes from the surrounding rock through the top part of the stones. The most probable answer consists in the idea, that the stones were formed on the sea-bed by the process of continuous mass gathering on a core due to the sea water movement, which finally resulted into the untypical ball shape. Nevertheless, all of the explanations remain in the category of hypotheses. The visitors arriving on the spot by public transport with the final stop in Megoňky will enter the quarry. They will find only one stone ball broken into two pieces. The other balls are scattered around the left part of the quarry and can be accessed only by steep forest paths. However, the experience is worth the effort.
